Cost: $10 for each 1 hour session
Sessions: individual lecture demos, every 3rd Saturday, 2 sessions per month
We are starting monthly classes that will be lecture demos, one hour each. Topics will be various from teaching new techniques, to using new notions, to understanding needles and threads. Instructors will be various depending on the subject.
Here is our PQU schedule for the remainder of 2008:
September 20th:
10 - 11: Needles - Carolyn teaches you all about sizes and proper uses of needles.
11 - 12: Preparing for T-Shirts for Quilting - want to make a t-shirt quilt? Jackie will give you the low down on how to prepare and start to make this style of quilt
October 18th:
10 - 11: Flying Geese Ruler: Toni teaches you how to make the perfect flying geese using Eleanor Burn's ruler.
11 - 12: Thangles - Toni teaches the quicker way to make those common half-square triangle blocks by using this paper notion.
November 15th:
10 - 11: Bindings - Jackie teaches how to sew your binding on the bias and how to make a continous binding.
11 - 12: "There is No All-Purpose Thread" - Carolyn teaches that not all thread is the same. She shares her experiences from Harriet Hargrove's class.
December 20th:
10 - 11: Hand Quilting - Carolyn will walk you through the process and tools needed to start hand quilting your own heirloom.
11 - 12: Color Selection - learn how to select the right value and color for your perfect project.
