The Civil War Love Letter Quilt by Rosemary Youngs, has been a popular resource for learning more about civil war reproduction fabrics and quilts.
The Civil War Club will meet once a month to discuss and share ideas revolving around this book. Each month will include a project that is created using the blocks in the book (the patterns will be developed monthly). Program cost It does not include the cost of the book, which is required to join this year's club and supplies.

Sessions: 2 parts - 7/15 & 7/22
Different sized tablerunners or tabletop quilts can be made using the Stack-N-Whack blocks. Large-scale fabrics are used to create a collage of unique kaleidoscope blocks. The project can be seasonal based on the fabrics selected.

Sessions: 2 parts, 7/16 & 7/23
Use a variety of beautiful holiday fabrics to make strip sets which are then recut with a wedge ruler to create the fan shaped tree skirt. The result is an elegant addition to your holiday home decorations.
SKILLS LEARNED: Strip set piecing, Use of wedge ruler, Binding zigzag edges

Joyce Ritter is hosting a new technique club based on the Atkinson's Design book, Lessons From Mama. Each month you will learn new techniques while creating a new block each month. Each meeting session will be a two hour instructional lesson for each technique. Sessions will be the forth Friday of each month, from 2:00- 4:00 pm. This is the perfect outlet for those who have taken Joyce's Beginning to Quilt classes over the past year and want to explore more quilting techniques. Membership fee is $30 for the entire year, plus the purchase of the pattern book and supplies.
